A study of parents of children with asthma discovered 40% believed harmful myths about inhalers including that they were expensive, would damage the lungs or create dependency.
A study of Australian 4-7 year olds estimated the prevalence of mental disorders at 13.9% with ADD/HD being the most common followed by anxiety disorders.
Parental knowledge of nutrition was found to positively influence children's diets but for older children nutritional knowledge was not found to influence food consumption with taste and percieved social acceptability being much more influencing.
