Joint physical activity by fathers and children was found to significantly influence children's activity levels and father's lifestyle related beliefs were found to significantly influence the health of children's diets.

A study from Korea has found that husband's support was more likely to result in warm-accepting parenting and less likely to result in rejecting-restricting parenting and consequently higher child self-esteem.
