Health
 A study of Hungarian adolescents found those with more diet control and physical activity had better self-reported health, lower substance use and better psychological symptoms.

Proactive parents have been found to be more likely to have teenagers who have had an annual physician visit and more likely to have discussion with their teenagers about their health.

It may be worth choosing a lower protein formula. A study has linked higher protein formula to a higher BMI and a greater chance of being obese.


Parenting
Parental monitoring has been shown to be a constant contributing factor to adolescent outcomes throughout different community risk factors.

A study has found that secure attachment to fathers was linked to fewer behavioral problems and higher competence at 100 months.

A study has found that maternal sensitivity and support for child autonomy completely account for child attachment at age 2.

Changing your parenting never comes too late. A study of teenagers with behavioral and emotional problems found that behavior improved and parent-adolescent conflict decreased after the parents completed the triple P parenting program. 

Adolescents of parents whose parenting style was classified as indulgent or authoritarian were found to have higher self esteem and school performance and be at equal risk of substance abuse and personal disturbances as adolescents of parents whose parenting style was classified as authoritative.

Children with anxiety disorders were found to percieve their mothers as more controlling and less accepting.

Children's social competence has been found to be related to parents support and engagement with children as well as their hostility and use of coercian.

Adults of parents who displayed warmth have been shown to have higher empathy levels and more interpersonal forgiveness.


School
The neighbourhood your child grows up in and the school they attend may increase their risk of behavioral and emotional problems in early to middle childhood, regardless of your families personal characteristics.

Genetic factors in regards to how math is seen and general anxiety has been shown to account for most of the variance in maths specific anxiety.
